Batavia MainStreet "Girls Day Out" Tickets Now On Sale

Batavia, IL: Tickets are now on sale for Batavia MainStreet’s 2nd Annual “Girls Day Out” to be held on Saturday April 14th from 11:30 am – 5 pm. Presale tickets may be purchased at the following Batavia locations for the presale price of $25 with postcard/coupon: Bee-Attitudes Antiques (9 S. Batavia Ave.), Spa Constantine (9 E. Wilson St.), Sue’s Family Hair Co. (40 N. Island Ave.), Fabric Boutique (3 S. Batavia Ave), Batavia MainStreet office (upstairs at 2 E. Wilson St.) and The Living Well Cancer Resource Center in Geneva (1803 W State St). Tickets include all free pampering experiences, the tea and style show plus $5 in Batavia Bucks to spend during the day on lunch or purchases along the way. Ticket prices rise to $30 starting April 1st for any tickets remaining. Batavia MainStreet is proud to include a new partner this year, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting The Living Well Cancer Resource Center.

Event chair, Vicki Mitchell encourages ladies to participate in the event, “Girls Day Out is the perfect half day for women to gather a group of girl friends together to enjoy a variety of food, fun and pampering.” The event begins with registration at 11:30 am at Panera Bread in downtown Batavia, followed by a smorgasbord of optional activities at participating downtown businesses until 4 pm. A partial list of businesses and their featured event include: Personalized skin care & color analysis with free samples: Avon; Hair style consultation & eyebrow shaping: Bella Bello; Homemade gourmet carrot cake samples: Chicago Char House; Paraffin dip: Elan Salon; Chocolate fountain: Enticing Cuisine; Chair massage & wine tasting: Fabric Boutique; Surprise at Foltos; bread sampling at Panera Bread; facial massages at Spa Constantine; chair massages at Sue’s Family Hair Co; beer tasting at O’Brien’s Pub & Grill plus special sales and coupons at Bee-Attitudes Antiques, Nello’s Motorcycles, Prairie Path Cycles Batavia, Twice is Nice, Batavia Creamery, Great Clips for Hair, and 1st Place Travel.

A special presentation about Organization by Jeanne Harms of Organize Inc. is also included in the fee and is featured in the Batavia Public Library with coffee provided by 10 S. Coffee House.

The day ends with a tea and fashion show at First Street Playhouse, highlighting spring fashions from area shops. Style show coordinator Sharon Harwick of Fabric Boutique comments: “Get ready for a fun spring style show that showcases an eclectic group of businesses whose collections range from the formal to practical and just plain fun.” The fashion show are tea is included in the ticket price.
