Batavia, IL: Downtown Batavia is bracing for the arrival of American Idol 2007 Semifinalist Leslie Hunt on Sunday June 3rd from 4:30 – 6:30 pm at O’Brien’s Pub & Grill at 12 N. River Street. Leslie is no stranger to the O’Brien family. Owners Casey and Laura O’Brien are thrilled to be able to host Leslie Hunt and her band as she performs in the O’Brien’s beer garden. Laura O’Brien comments, “We were excited she was awarded the amazing opportunity to showcase her talent world wide through the American Idol show! We’re proud to provide a venue in the Tri-Cities to invite St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia to welcome Leslie home and to celebrate her success.”

This event is a fund raiser for the Lupus Foundation of America, Illinois Chapter. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of food and beverages is being donated to Lupus Foundation of America, Illinois Chapter. There is no cover charge or pre-sale tickets; restaurant and outdoor dining is available starting at noon and the Beer Garden will open to the public at 4:00 pm. No food will be served in the beer garden.

MainStreet Executive Director Britta McKenna is pleased about O’Brien’s upcoming event, “O’Brien’s is a perfect example of a business working to bring people to our downtown and Leslie Hunt will draw many new visitors to Batavia and help raise funds for a worthy cause.” The Batavia Police Department is also gearing up for the event, having had a lot of practice with crowd control with neighboring business Congressman Dennis Hastert.
