Batavia MainStreet "FoxFare" Spring Gala Feature Fox Valley Chefs and Caterers

Batavia, IL: Reservations are now being taken for Batavia MainStreet’s spring gala, “FoxFare.” This new culinary extravaganza is set for Sunday May 6th from 6:30 – 9:30 pm at Batavia Park District’s Shannon Hall. The event spotlights Fox Valley chefs and caterers providing sample size portions of a signature dish. Head Chef Jerry Dunn of The RendezVu Restaurant comments, “I am pleased with the variety of restaurants participating in FoxFare; patrons will enjoy an array of ethnic foods and gourmet cooking.” The evening also features the local band “Field Day” performing during the food sampling hour. Pianist Nick Riser performs for guests during registration and the silent auction portion and Fox Valley personalities participate as auctioneers in the live auction. Tickets are $35 per person and the event benefits Batavia MainStreet to assist with the promotion, planning and preservation of downtown Batavia.

Gala Co-Chair, Kelly Tiberi of the Red Geranium encourages everyone to participate in the event, “MainStreet has worked hard to create a fresh event idea and we encourage the community to join us to sample some of the Fox Valley’s best chefs and caterers as well as some new restaurants too.” FoxFare begins at 6:30 pm with registration, silent auction, live music and ten food stations. Participating restaurants and caterers from Batavia include: The RendezVu Restaurant, Enticing Cuisine and Perfect Parties. Geneva is showcasing The Herrington Inn, Nosh, Wildfire, Inglenook Pantry and Sanfratellos. Other participants include Dimitri’s from St. Charles and Wanna Cookie? from Oswego. A coffee and cappuccino bar is provided by Four Beans Coffeehouse (Batavia) and wine tasting and cash bar by Gibby’s Wine Den (Geneva). The live auction begins at 8:30 pm and features Fox Valley area personalities auctioning off items. Gala Co-Chair Sharon Harwick of Fabric Boutique comments: “Get ready for a taste of the Fox Valley and an overall fun night celebrating the culinary talents of our great Fox Valley restaurants and caterers.”

FoxFare is presented by Batavia MainStreet volunteers and sponsored by Provena Mercy. Donations for the silent and live auction are being taken until 5:00 pm Friday April 27th. Reservations are needed and the deadline to make your reservation is Friday May 4th, unless the event is sold out prior to that date.
