Downtown Batavia Ready for MainStreet's “Girls Day Out” on Saturday April 8th

Batavia, IL: Twenty-five downtown Batavia businesses are busy getting ready for “Girls’ Day Out” guests on Saturday April 8th. The day begins at 10 a.m. with a continental buffet at The Venice Tavern (31 N. River St.) until 11, then experiences in over 25 downtown businesses from 11-3, including: Sue’s Family Hair Co: (Good Bodies Therapeutic Massage free “mini” chair massages, free samples of Healthy Drinks and Pampered Chef products), All Dressed Up (Free costume dress up and digital photograph of your group), Spa Constantine (10-minute massages, 15-minute skin consultations, make-up applications, 15-min polish changes plus in-store goody bags), Twice is Nice (Kari Edwards jewelry beading demonstration plus in store sale), Persimmon Tree Home (featuring Graham’s Chocolate fondue station and in store sale), Foltos Tonsorial Parlor (sur”prise” in store), O’Brien’s Pub & Grill (beer sampling), Bee-Attitudes Antiques (card making and in store sales), Panera Bread (bread tasting with olive oil dip), Fabric Boutique (red wine tasting and chocolate toffee tasting by Gibby’s Wine Den), One Concept Salon Spa (hand massages, free gift card with visit), Ispirare and J Tuman Therapeutic Massage (massage certificates), Robbin’s Flowers (floral arranging demonstrations and in store sale), River West Family Fitness (pick up coupon for free workout week), Baskin-Robbins (1/2 price drinks on 4/8), Wituk Martial Arts (women’s self defense demonstrations), Avon (skin & make-up consultations), Tri-City Hair (paraffin dips in store), Nello’s Motorcycles (special sale), The Drum Zone (free guitar, drum or violin lesson coupon in store), Sofa Solutions (refreshments), Hubbard’s Ethan Allen ($250 in store raffle, refreshments), Elan Hair Salon and Lisa’s Heads or Nails (raffle items), The Venice Tavern (continental buffet host) and First Street Playhouse (“Big Spender” drawing host and “Queens of Bingo” live theatre at 3:30 p.m.).

Presale tickets are on sale now through March 31st for just $18 and go up to $20 starting April 1st. Tickets are available at: Bee-Attitudes Antiques (9 S. Batavia Ave.), Spa Constantine (9 E. Wilson St.), Sue’s Family Hair Co. (40 N. Island Ave.) and the Batavia MainStreet office (upstairs at 2 E. Wilson St.) An optional play, “Queens of Bingo” begins at 3:30 p.m. at First Street Playhouse for an additional $10. Tickets for the theatre are sold separately at the Playhouse or at the start of the April 8th event. Reservations for large groups are recommended by calling the theatre at 630-406-6367 or making an online reservation at www.firststreetplayhouse.com. The first 100 women to arrive at The Venice Tavern receive a logo tote bag and all ladies will receive coupons and special promotions from participating downtown Batavia businesses.
