Batavia, IL: Batavia MainStreet is pleased to invite the Batavia community to its upcoming morning networking coffee at 7:30 a.m. on Friday October 21st at the Fox Grill, 35 N. Water St. in downtown Batavia. The topic is "Customer Service - How's Yours?" presented by award winning professional speaker Maureen O'Brien of O'Brien and Sons. The presentation will give examples of customer service and challenge everyone to take a look at their own customer service from a new point of view.

With close to 20 years experience as a motivational speaker, facilitator and coach, O'Brien's clients have included organizations like the Mayo Medical Center, and IBM in Rochester, MN, where she was dubbed "The Erma Bombeck of IBM," as well as John Deere International, and the American Cancer Society.
Recently The Business Ledger, in partnership with the National Association of Women Business Owners' Chicago Area Chapter, has recognized Maureen O'Brien as one of the "2005 Influential Women in Business." These women have succeeded in their careers and gone beyond their daily responsibilities to exert influence in the business community at large, and made a major difference in their chosen businesses, profession or corporate endeavors.

All Batavia residents, business and property owners and employees of downtown businesses are welcome to participate. There is no RSVP or fee to attend, but coffee, juice and rolls are available for $2.00 per person.

Coming up, the November "Downtown @ Daybreak" is scheduled for Friday November 18th at 7:30 a.m. and features the topic "Updating Our Downtown Master Plan" by Jerry Swanson, City of Batavia Development Director.
