2-6-05

Batavia, IL: Batavia MainStreet, in co-operation with First Street Playhouse, is hosting “The Clayhead Records Showcase,” featuring the talents of Reyna Larson, Dave Ramont, and “Dick Smith” on February 18th and 19th beginning at 7 pm each evening. The music is perfect fit for cozy, couchy comfort of First Street Playhouse. The down-home, front porch, whisky drenched, knee slapping swamp music that is the trademark of Dick Smith suits the comfortable style of the Playhouse.

The evening kicks off each night at 7:00 p.m. each night with a silent auction from 7 – 8pm and “vittles and cordials” for auction browsers. Each show patrons receives a VIP program, containing coupons and merchandise offers from a variety of our downtown business. A preview of auction items includes: a week’s stay at a beautiful PuertoVallarta condo, theater tickets, restaurant certificates, Kane County Cougars tickets, massages, a collectable CD collection from Kiss the Sky and much more. This event is a joint fundraiser for Batavia MainStreet and First Street Playhouse, both not-for-profit organizations in Batavia.

Each night following the show, a post party will feature band members at local restaurants for a meet and greet with show patrons. Friday night the band will gather at One East Wilson and on Saturday night at Venice Tavern.
