BatFest 2004 Vendor and Group Participant Deadline Closes
October 15th Batavia, IL: The downtown Batavia BatFest will be bustling with activity on Saturday October 23rd. Vendors are still being accepted for BatMart, which will include Farmers’ Market, Fine Arts and Crafts areas. Community groups are invited to set up a bake sale table to raise funds for their organization from Noon – 3:00 p.m. outside shops along N. Island Avenue, but should contact the Batavia MainStreet office by October 15th at 761-3528 to reserve a space. BatMart will be open to the public from Noon – 5:00 p.m. on the Batavia Riverwalk area. Downtown Batavia businesses are encouraged to participate in trick-or-treating from Noon-3 p.m. and enter the storefront decorating contest. The decorating contest will be judged on two themes: Best BatFest/Halloween theme and Best Fall Theme. Businesses should contact the Batavia MainStreet office to participate in either the trick-or-treating or storefront decorating. Plans for a full day of activities are planned with a vampire blood drive in the morning from 8 a.m. – Noon at RiverWest Family Fitness, downtown activities for the family from Noon – 5 p.m. and a Poker Pub Crawl from 7 p.m. – Midnight at East China Inn, Fox Grill, One East Wilson, O’Brien’s Pub and Grill and Venice Tavern (Charlie Fox’s).
