FINAL TWO WEEKS FOR BATAVIA MAINSTREET’S FARMERS
MARKET Batavia, IL: The Batavia MainStreet Farmer’s Market is winding up the next two weeks and will close the season on Saturday October 9th. Only two Saturday’s are left to stock up on market favorites from mums to concord grapes. The Farmer’s Market is located on S. Water Street between Wilson and First Streets Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – Noon. Entertainment is provided weekly by volunteers from the Batavia Renaissance group. Market volunteer coordinator, Jan Berk would like to recognize the full season vendors for the 2004 Market: Paw Paw River Farms, M & D Farms, Farm Direct Black Angus, Stojan’s Vegetables, Great Harvest Bread Company, Erehwon Farms and Raw Honey. Many other vendors and groups were also part of the market and thanks go out to them for their participation. Batavia MainStreet President John Gamble commends the volunteers and vendors on a great season, “Our thanks go to Jan Berk for her dedication to the Farmer’s Market the past seven years. Her tireless efforts have brought a valuable asset to Batavia and character and activity to our downtown.” Gamble continues, “Volunteer musicians and MainStreet volunteers who assist with the market are also to be thanked for their hard work and a very successful season.” Batavia MainStreet market bags are on sale at the Market for $15 and also available at Sue’s Family Hair Company and the Batavia Main Street office while supplies last. The final Farmer’s Market will be held Saturday October 9th from
8:00 a.m. – Noon. Shoppers looking for an additional market opportunity
will enjoy the BatMart during the upcoming BatFest on Saturday October
23rd. BatMart will feature Farmer’s Market vendors, crafters and
