This coming February 12, 2012, get ready for Prom-inspired fashion to hit Batavia's runways and drive support for an excellent cause. Prom-O-Rama, hosted by Batavia MainStreet and a plethora of local businesses, will raise funds and awareness for Suicide Prevention Services, a local program with national influence.
With a volunteer-driven operation located right in Batavia, Suicide Prevention Services aims to reduce risks & completions by means of public education, private depression screenings, and early interventions. Proceeds from Prom-O-Rama, including sponsorships and donated funds, will go toward keeping this highly important & ever-challenging program going strong. The event has both sponsorship and advertising opportunities to help support this worthy cause.
The fashion show will feature models showing off many styles of dresses from Special Occasions, and sharp tuxes from Invitations, Etc. with hair & make-up by Urban Style Salon, and special performance by Batavia Academy of Dance. Even small touches make big differences, as local florists will prove with gorgeous corsages and boutonnieres on full display. An expo portion of the night will highlight local vendors' featured wears for Prom Season.
